Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payment Poster with experience in Next Gen Healthcare to join our billing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately posting payments, adjustments, and denials while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Strong attention to detail, knowledge of medical billing, and proficiency in Next Gen Healthcare are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately post electronic and manual payments, adjustments, and denials from insurance carriers and patients into Next Gen Healthcare.
- Reconcile payments with remittance advice (EOBs, ERAs) to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Identify and resolve posting errors, duplicate payments, and missing remittances.
- Process refunds and credit balances as needed.
- Communicate with insurance companies to clarify payment discrepancies and resolve denials.
- Work closely with the billing and accounts receivable team to ensure efficient payment processing.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, insurance guidelines, and company policies.
- Generate reports and assist with month-end reconciliation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Required: Experience with Next Gen Healthcare software.
- Preferred: 1-3 years of experience in medical billing, payment posting, or revenue cycle management.
- Strong understanding of insurance payments, EOBs, ERAs, and denial management.
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

- High School Diploma or GED

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
