Organization: Girls Rising
Location: Remote (with occasional in-person events)
Hours: 10 hours per week (Flexible upon approval and may include evenings)
Salary: $21 - $24 per hour DOE
Position Overview:
Girls Rising is seeking a dedicated and organized Part-Time Program Coordinator - Application Specialist to support the processing and tracking of program applications, data entry, and event coordination. This role is ideal for someone who excels at multitasking, is detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The position requires consistency, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude toward change as our program is growing and evolving. The selected candidate will serve as a role model for the girls we serve, reflecting the mission of Girls Rising, which is to empower girls to see their value and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Processing & Tracking:
- Process and track incoming mentor applications for Girls Rising programs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all applicants.
- Ensure that all application documentation is complete and in compliance with program guidelines.
- Follow up with mentor applicants according to application guidelines, 30-60-90 days.
- Data Entry & Management:
- Input, maintain, and organize program-related data into systems (Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.).
- Monitor and update application statuses and data regularly.
- Event Support:
- Provide logistical and administrative support for occasional weekend events. (10-12 events per year on Saturdays)
- Assist with event preparation from conception to completion.
- Ensure smooth execution of events, including supporting with set-up and clean-up, as needed.
- Communication & Team Collaboration:
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with the program team.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and program participants.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and provide updates on application status.
- Other Duties:
- Assist with other administrative and program-related tasks as needed.
- Provide support for any additional special projects or tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Essential Skills:
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
- Excellent follow-through with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other similar platforms.
- Flexibility and adaptability to change.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.

- Experience & Education:
- Previous experience in data entry, program coordination, or administration is preferred.
- High school diploma required; college coursework or degree is a plus.
- Other Requirements:
- Must be able to attend occasional weekend events and provide event support as needed.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude, with a willingness to take on new challenges.
