Bookkeeper
Position Detail: Water, Civil, and Environmental Inc. (WCE Inc.) is looking for a part-time bookkeeper to join our growing team!
Responsibilities
- Maintain and balance general ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable, including entering expenses in Harvest (our online time tracking and invoicing software) and in Quickbooks Desktop.
- Prepare invoices and track accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation, including for payroll.
- Generate financial reports for management review.
- Manage employee timesheets and vacation/sick time records.
- Assist management with completing timesheets and expense reports.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and government reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors and accountants.
Requirements
- 8+ years of bookkeeping employment.
- Associate's degree (minimum); a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Excel.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and governmental accounting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
