- Work closely with the Communications Manager to coordinate and implement communication strategies and campaigns including fundraising programs.
- Create engaging written, visual, and video content for various platforms e.g. graphics, videos, social posts) for Clean Water Action’s social media platforms.
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all channels.
- Maintain a social media calendar to strategically align digital content with the broader organizational priorities and campaign timelines of Clean Water Action.
- Engage with followers across social media to foster an active and engaged online community, responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate paid digital ad campaigns on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram) and other digital channels such as Google Ads, LinkedIn, or TikTok.
- Identify opportunities for growth in follower base and engagement, using tactics like influencer partnerships and community outreach.
- Stay up to date with digital marketing and social media trends, tools, and best practices in environmental justice advocacy.
- Track and analyze the performance of digital media campaigns.
- Prepare reports on key metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective communication.
- Support the preparation of communication materials for various campaigns including action alerts, fundraising, and events.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with emphasis in communications, digital media and/or design or a discipline related to digital media, graphic design, photojournalism, visual arts, or related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong experience with social media platforms including X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc. allowing you to manage an active and engaging online presence.
- Demonstrated experience in digital advertising including implementing successful Meta advertising campaigns.
- Experience with fundraising for non-profits.
- Proficiency in using various digital media tools, video editing tools, and software.
- A passion for tackling the most pressing issues of our time, for social and environmental justice, and for growing and strengthening the grassroots movement to protect clean water.
- Commitment to equity and inclusion as organizational practice and culture. Understands how environmental issues intersect with racism, economic and social inequality in the U.S. and has a passion for working to dismantle these systems.

- Must be able to communicate effectively via video, phone, and written format.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a distraction-free home workspace.
Commitment : Part Time (3 days per week, 6-hour workdays) with the potential to go Full Time.
