About Us:
We are a disruptive digital fashion and beauty magazine aiming to reshape the industry with cutting-edge content and a fresh perspective. With a roster of national writers and flagship brands already on board, we are poised for a major rollout. We need a social media marketing expert to help us build organic traffic, generate HYPE, and strategically grow our digital presence, especially on Instagram.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategize & Execute: Develop creative, high-impact social media strategies to grow our Instagram presence from 1K to 10K followers organically while maintaining a strong and consistent brand voice.
- Content Creation & Curation: Work closely with our editorial and creative teams to create engaging content that resonates with our target audience—fashion and beauty enthusiasts.
- Build Community Engagement: Create strategies to encourage interaction, foster community growth, and generate excitement about our digital magazine launch. Think influencer partnerships, user-generated content, and creative campaigns.
- Analytics & Reporting: Regularly track and report on key social media metrics. Use data-driven insights to continuously optimize strategies for growth and engagement.
- Trendspotting: Keep up-to-date with the latest fashion and beauty trends, as well as Instagram platform trends to ensure our content and strategies stay fresh and relevant.
- Brand Partnerships & Collabs: Leverage your network to build and strengthen partnerships with relevant brands and influencers, driving awareness and buzz around our upcoming launch.
- Campaign Management: Oversee Instagram ad campaigns, influencer outreach, and other creative ways to create hype and virality.
Qualifications:
- Proven Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience managing Instagram accounts for fashion, beauty, or lifestyle brands, with a demonstrated ability to grow organic followings.
- Creative Expertise: Must have a flair for creative, high-conversion content—whether through Instagram posts, reels, stories, or IGTV—and an eye for what resonates with fashion and beauty lovers.
- Community Builder: Experience in building online communities and driving authentic engagement (likes, shares, comments, DMs).
- Data-Driven: Strong understanding of Instagram analytics, growth tactics, and A/B testing.
- Influencer Savvy: Knowledgeable in influencer marketing and working with micro-influencers in the fashion and beauty space.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Able to write compelling captions, brainstorm fresh campaign ideas, and communicate clearly with internal teams and external partners.
- Passion for Fashion & Beauty: A true love for the fashion and beauty world, staying on top of trends and anticipating what's next in the industry.
Bonus Points:
- Existing relationships with Instagram influencers or fashion/beauty brands
- Experience with other social platforms (TikTok, Pinterest, etc.)
- Expertise in running paid Instagram campaigns
