Role Overview
We're seeking a Marketing & Outreach Specialist on a contract basis to coordinate influencer partnerships, manage campaign tracking, and support our multi-channel marketing efforts for indie games. This role involves working on specific game marketing initiatives with clearly defined deliverables and timelines. This is a part-time position with potential to grow into a full-time role as our agency expands.
Project Scope & Compensation
- Part-time contract position for specific marketing campaigns and projects
- Fixed project rates based on campaign scope with additional performance bonuses
- Typical projects range from 10-30 hours of work with clear deliverables
- Initial contract for 1-2 projects with potential for ongoing collaboration based on results
- Rates competitive with industry standards for marketing specialists

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with gaming influencers and content creators
- Coordinate strategic influencer marketing campaigns for indie game promotions
- Implement comprehensive UTM tracking systems for all marketing campaigns
- Execute SEO and SEM strategies to improve game discoverability
- Manage PPC campaigns across relevant platforms with ROI focus
- Create engaging content marketing materials that resonate with gaming audiences
- Develop and optimize social media marketing (SMM) strategies for community growth
- Design email marketing campaigns to nurture player communities
- Explore innovative guerrilla marketing tactics for indie game promotion
- Set up and manage affiliate marketing programs when appropriate
- Implement conversion rate optimization (CRO) techniques for landing pages
- Maintain clear communication with developers throughout marketing campaigns
Must-have qualifications
- Experience with one or more marketing disciplines (SEO, SEM, PPC, Content Marketing, or SMM)
- Basic understanding of campaign tracking methodologies (UTM parameters a plus)
- Some background in outreach and relationship management
- Good communication skills for developer and influencer relationships
- Ability to work independently on well-defined projects
- Knowledge of basic performance metrics
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn new marketing approaches
- Self-motivated with a passion for indie games
- 1-3 years of experience in marketing and outreach
- Must be located in the United States
Preferred qualifications
- Background in indie game publishing or marketing
- Established relationships with gaming content creators
- Experience with community building strategies (Discord, Reddit, etc.)
- Understanding of the unique challenges facing indie game developers
- Familiarity with major gaming platforms and their communities

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $12.00 - $32.22 per hour
