The Company serves more than a third of the top 100 health systems and is a market leader in profit recovery services utilizing its tech-enabled platform to generate cost savings for hospitals by identifying instances of payment errors and contract non-compliance within hospitals’ operating expenses.

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Data Validation Specialist. Individuals fulfilling the Data Validation Specialist role at Spend Mend will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of data flowing through our business applications and document imaging system by reviewing the data and images, and correcting data where necessary.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify the quality and accuracy of scanned or digitized documents according to established standards.
  • Review images and metadata associated with each document to ensure completeness and correctness.
  • Identify and correct any discrepancies or errors in data, document indexing, labeling, or classification.
  • Perform data validation tasks to confirm the accuracy of optical character recognition (OCR) and other automated data and document processing technologies.
  • Collaborate with scanning technicians and software developers to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain detailed records of validation activities and provide regular reports on quality metrics and performance indicators.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and security measure to protect sensitive information.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field.
  •  Certification in document management or quality assurance is a plus.
  • Previous experience in document imaging, data entry, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on quality assurance and validation.
  • Proficiency in using document management systems and imaging software, such as Kofax Capture, OnBase, Canon IRIS, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with OCR technology and image processing techniques preferred.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office.
