As a junior bookkeeper, your main responsibility will be to accurately record and categorize financial transactions and reconcile accounts as well as process payroll for several clients. In addition, you will support the account manager with various tasks and assist in maintaining accurate client records. This is a part time position with 8-10 hours per week with a somewhat flexible schedule and is fully remote.

Responsibilities:
- Categorize and record financial transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
- Troubleshoot any errors in reconciliation
- Ensure accuracy of all recorded transactions
- Request documentation and information from clients and ensure consistent follow-up
- Process payroll through online platform such as Gusto, QBO or ADP for several clients
- Review and code receipts, invoices, and bills in receipt software like QBO or Hubdoc

- Keep accurate records and information about each client
- Create SOPs (standard operating procedures) as needed for your role and duties
- Update account manager on the status of client work and any delays
- Perform month-end close with accuracy
- Support account manager with various tasks
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and in a timely manner
- Handle general admin tasks related to the bookkeeping team
- Maintain confidentiality of clients' information and handle all necessary sensitive data
- Review payroll reports for accuracy and enter necessary entries to record payroll
- Enter advanced bookkeeping entries, including accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions
Requirements:
- Education: college diploma or equivalent
- Experience: minimum of 2 years prior experience in bookkeeping or similar role
- Equipment: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and a payroll processor system such as ADP, Gusto or Quick books payroll
Job Non-Negotiables:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data entry
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using bookkeeping software and tools
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Job Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in filing Sales Tax
- Understand how to generate financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets
